Over the past couple of days, we helped a client fix an imKey hardware wallet that was damaged and would no longer power on.
An impact had cracked the imKey's screen and bent its case. Our lab disassembled it, replaced the screen, repaired the circuitry and fitted a new case — the device worked again, and the client's assets have been moved safely.
The repair only restored the device to normal operation; no private-key data was read from the chip. From what we verified, imKey's security holds up very well.
Service note: we only work on devices authorized by the client themselves, and repairs never read private-key data from the chip. — imBack Team
